How to use the Terminal page and interact with the 3D globe.
Terminal & Globe
The Terminal is Hydra's primary view. It renders a real-time 3D globe streaming live data from all connected sources — aircraft, vessels, signals, cyber attacks, missile alerts, earthquakes, satellites, and more.
Globe Interaction
- Rotate — click and drag anywhere on the globe
- Zoom — scroll wheel or pinch gesture
- Click markers — click any aircraft, vessel, signal pin, or other marker to open its detail popup
- Click countries — countries with active signals are highlighted; clicking one shows signal details
Intelligence Ticker
The scrolling ticker bar at the top of the Terminal shows every incoming signal as it's ingested in real time. Sources include ADS-B aircraft updates, AIS vessel positions, missile alerts, Twitter and Telegram OSINT, Polymarket movements, and cyber threat pulses. Click any ticker item to jump to it on the globe.
Global Search
The search bar at the top of the globe lets you search across all live data simultaneously:
- Aircraft — search by ICAO hex code, callsign, or operator
- Vessels — search by MMSI or vessel name
- Signals — search by keyword or title
- Feed articles — search by title or source
Results appear in a dropdown. Clicking a result navigates the globe camera to that entity and opens its popup.
Entity Filter
The entity filter (top area) controls which entity types are visible on the globe:
- Aircraft — military and government flights
- Naval Vessels — ships tracked via AIS
- Satellites — orbital positions from TLE data
- All — show everything simultaneously
Each entity type has sub-filters. For example, selecting Aircraft opens a dropdown with categories like Fighter, ISR, Bomber, Tanker, Transport, and UAV — each showing a live count of how many are currently tracked.
Follow Mode
The crosshair button activates Follow Mode. When enabled, the globe camera automatically pans to each new incoming event as it arrives — flying to missile alerts, troop movements, cyber attack origins, and new signal detections. The crosshair icon turns red when Follow Mode is active.
This is useful for passive monitoring — leave the Terminal open and the globe will continuously track to wherever activity is happening.
Live Camera Feeds
The camera button opens a floating panel with live YouTube streams from strategic global locations:
- Great Mosque of Mecca
- Dome of the Rock, Jerusalem
- Mount of Olives
- Golden Horn, Istanbul
- TV7 Israel 24/7 news
- And more
You can watch up to 4 simultaneous feeds. Each feed can be muted or resized.
Popups
Clicking any entity on the globe opens a detail popup:
Aircraft Popup
Shows callsign, ICAO hex, aircraft type, operator, altitude, speed, heading, squawk code, origin/destination airports, and emergency status if applicable.
Vessel Popup
Shows vessel name, MMSI, vessel type, flag state, speed, course, destination, and current navigation status (underway, anchored, fishing, etc.).
Signal Popup
Shows signal title, severity, source, affected countries, coordinates, and category. If the signal has coordinates, a satellite before/after comparison image may be available.
Satellite Popup
Shows satellite name, NORAD ID, category, current altitude, and orbital period.
Mobile
On mobile devices, the globe fills the entire screen. The feed panel slides in from the right edge when you tap a marker or open the panel manually.
